From accurate shipment details
to a domestic freight booking
Shipocity provides one guided workflow for preparing a domestic freight request, comparing the options available for the shipment and lane, and managing the records that follow.
Prepare the domestic shipment
Build the quote from the finished freight and the actual pickup and delivery conditions. Accurate inputs help carriers return relevant options and reduce the chance of re-rating later.
- Domestic U.S. origin and destination
- Package type, handling-unit count, weight, and finished dimensions
- Specific commodity description and freight class
- Pickup date and required services such as liftgate or appointment
Compare available options and book
Shipocity requests rates using the details you provide. The carriers, services, prices, and response times shown depend on the shipment and lane.
- Compare the total transportation rate and estimated transit
- Review included charges, carrier notes, and liability information
- Create an account only after selecting an option
- Review the charge before secure checkout
- Receive booking references and documents when available
Manage the shipment records
Use your Shipocity account to keep the booking, carrier references, documents, invoice, and carrier-provided tracking information connected.
- Booking and shipment status history
- Carrier name, PRO number, and other shipment references
- Shipment documents when they are available
- Tracking events supplied by the carrier
- A contact-form path for questions that need review
What to know before you begin
How long does it take to get a quote?
After you submit complete shipment details, Shipocity requests available carrier rates. Response time and available options depend on the shipment, service, and lane. Some requests may return no rate or may need additional review.
Which carriers will I see?
The rate list shows carrier options returned for the domestic shipment you entered. Carrier participation, service coverage, and pricing vary by lane and shipment requirements.
How is payment handled?
Payment is completed through secure Stripe checkout after you select a rate. Review the transportation charge and rate details before continuing. Payment and invoice records are then connected to your Shipocity account.
What happens if there is a problem with my shipment?
Open the shipment detail page for the carrier name, BOL, PRO number, tracking reference, and available documents. For a question that needs Shipocity review, submit thecontact form with the shipment reference and a clear description of the issue.
Can I cancel a booking?
Cancellation and refund review depends on payment status, booking status, and whether the freight has been tendered to the carrier. Submit the contact form with the shipment reference as soon as possible. A request does not guarantee that cancellation is still available.
Can I quote an international shipment online?
No. Shipocity's self-service quote and booking workflow is for domestic U.S. freight. For international shipping, use the contact form and include the origin, destination, commodity, dimensions, weight, and required timing. The team will review the request and follow up by email.
